A charity event celebrating fashion and philanthropy supporting the lsrael Idonije Foundation.



    CHICAGO, IL, September 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Immerse yourself in culinary delight and artistic flair and join affluent professionals, entrepreneurs, media, sports and entertainment personas for Compassion, Fashion & Cocktails 2015, a charity event celebrating fashion and philanthropy that will raise money and awareness for the charity Israel Idonije Foundation, "IFF Programs focus on further developing 5 keys to social & emotional connections in the hopes that every child achieves their goals." Not only will you get to mingle with the who's who of Chicago, but you will also get to enjoy great cocktails and food from local restaurants, and a fashion show.

The event is being held on Thursday, October 29th, 2015, at The Godfrey Hotel Chicago | I|O Urban Roofscape, 127 W. Huron St. at LaSalle St., Chicago, IL. There will be a VIP private cocktail reception from 5:30 - 6:00pm with Israel Idonije for VIP ticket holders, a private cocktail reception from 6:00pm to 7:30pm for general ticket holders and both are hosted by The Godfrey Hotel Chicago | I|O Urban Roofscape , followed by the runway fashion show, by designer Zadig & Voltaire, hair by George the Salon - George Gonzalez, makeup by Makeup by Aga - Aga Kaskiewicz at 8:00pm. Light hors d'oeuvres will be provided by a collection of local restaurants throughout the event, a wine tasting by advanced sommelier Jim Bube from Heritage Wine Cellars, and there will be a raffle.

To attend, you may purchase tickets in advance (prior to 10/26) for just $50. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the night of the event for $65, you may obtain a VIP Patron ticket for $100 which entitles you to a private meet and greet cocktail reception with Israel Idonije, a gift bag, 5 raffle tickets and reserved seats. About the Israel Idonije Foundation:
Programming for the Israel Idonije Foundation features the After School Program that services 45 youth Monday through Friday on Chicago's south side including homework help, mentorship, field trips and speakers, Project Africa, annual humanitarian trips to Western Africa to promote social and emotional learning through platforms of education, health and community development, The Shop With A Cop Program that encourages positive interaction between urban youth and law enforcement, the All Star Football and Cheer Camp, a free camp for 250+ youth to spend a day having fun and learning beneficial skills, and the IIF Youth Leaders Summer Internship Program which provides youth with summer learning, workforce skill development, and job shadowing in the field of their interest. To date, these programs served over 8,000 individuals.

IIF Founder:
Founder Israel Idonije played 10 seasons as a defensive end for the Chicago Bears and most recently finished his 11th NFL season with the Detroit Lions. In 2013, President Obama and President George Bush Sr. recognized Idonije at the White House with the Daily Points of Light Award for his work in the community. Idonije was one of three finalists for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award during his Super Bowl year and most recently, Idonije was featured in the 2013 December issue of Sports Illustrated that focused on his dedication to his philanthropic endeavors.
