KnowledgeShift Donates Use of Role-Playing Simulator to NIU Students

Students will be competing for pride and cash prizes.

CHICAGO, IL, September 30, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert Peterson, Professor of NIU's Professional Sales Program and Editor of Journal heads up this year's NIU Sales Professionals Showcase. This contest will challenge students enrolled in the Professional Selling Program as part of their degree curriculum. Each student will be judged and will be using KnowledgeShift's role-playing simulator, Mobi-RolePlay to record and measure each student leaving a voice mail and trying to get past a gatekeeper.

"KnowledgeShift's simulator is one of the best ways to help our students experience a real-life selling situation," states Dr. Peterson. "The first time I ran through the Mobi-RolePlay simulator, I was blown away by how real it seemed but also how easy it was to use. I can teach them all of the mechanics and knowledge in the classroom. KnowledgeShift's simulator allows me to expose students to real-life situations in a safe and scalable manner."

Mobi-RolePlay is a customizable role-playing simulator that works from any phone. It allows a person to practice any type of conversation. The system will automatically score the user on what they say using keyword search tool. But more importantly it measures the tonality and emotion in the user's voice. "Using our state of the art EmotiMeter , we can provide feedback to our users immediately on whether or not their voice and communication style was appropriate for each situation," states Nancy Munro, CEO. "We provide access to our simulator free of charge to any college who offers a professional sales training program."

The students will conduct their role-play simulations between October 1st and October 8th and then meet with live judges on campus the week of October 12th.
