Peggy Rowe-Linn Honored for Excellence in Family Law

Ms. Rowe-Linn hopes to fulfill her ambition of becoming a judge

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, October 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peggy Rowe-Linn, Attorney of Peggy Rowe-Linn, P.A., has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in family law.

Ms. Rowe-Linn has worked in the field of law for three decades. She was originally involved in a partnership, but it dissolved when her partner became a judge in 1989. She then went into private practice and has remained in that role ever since. Each day, she is responsible for providing clients with legal services in the areas of divorce, annulment, child custody, parenting plans, mediation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, adoption, paternity, dependency, modifications, and contempt and enforcement. She serves as an attorney ad litem and guardian ad litem, and she represents clients in the dissolution of marriage actions, typically for high-wage earners and large asset holders. Apart from her work in family law, Ms. Rowe-Linn facilitates the formation of 501 (c) (3) organizations and files nonprofit status before the Internal Revenue Service, in addition to representing charitable organizations.

Looking back, Ms. Rowe-Linn attributes her success to her continued learning and education, as well as understanding the importance of never undertaking a cause that she does not believe in 100 percent. She also credits the fact that she never advances facts that she has not independently verified first. She became involved in her profession because she always had an interest in law and helping people in adverse circumstances. She was also inspired by her uncle, who was also an attorney, and a very bright and intellectual man. She looked up to him, and felt that he derived great joy in helping others. As the fourth of nine children, Ms. Rowe-Linn quickly discovered her talent for conflict resolution, and she brings this skill to her clients. When asked about the proudest moment of her career, Ms. Rowe-Linn cites her handling of an adoption case at the trial and appellate level, which created new law and led to the new case law being codified by the Florida Legislature.

Ms. Rowe-Linn received a JD from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova University in 1984, and she also holds a Bachelor of Science in political science and history from Florida State University and an Associate of Arts in Political Science from Palm Beach Junior College, which is now Palm Beach State College. She is a board-certified specialist in marital and family law, and she is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and Certified Appellate Law Mediator, as well as a Florida Parenting Coordinator. Most recently, she was appointed to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Rowe-Linn was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Marital and Family Law Section of the Legislative GAL and AAL Sub-Committee of The Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Guild of Catholic Lawyers and the Family Law Section of the ABA. She is also a member of the legislative committee that is currently working to re-write the definition of "spouse" due to the recent Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage.

In recognition of her hard work and dedication, Ms. Rowe-Linn has earned numerous awards and distinctions, including a 5.0 AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a Juvenile Law Award from The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc. and a Juvenile Law Award from the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also the recipient of The Monsignor Jeremiah P. O'Mahony award for her years of dedication to the law and to the faith from the Guild of Catholic Lawyers of the Diocese of Palm Beach.

In the coming years, Ms. Rowe-Linn hopes to become a judge. If she does not become a judge, she hopes for continued success and growth with her practice. She intends to continue to help lead her clients to better positions in their lives, both emotionally and financially, and help them move forward with their lives in a positive manner.
