Amanda Sillars Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Children's Rights

"Often when two parents separate, there are residual emotions that can tremendously affect the children," says Ms. Sillars, who established the nonprofit organization Eeny Meeny Miney Mo in January 2015. The foundation aims to protect children from the emotional abuse called parental alienation, a term used in association with a distinct and often unrecognized form of psychological child abuse in which someone causes a child unreasonably to hate, reject or refuse contact with a normal, loving parent. "Usually, we see parental alienation derive from the primary caregiver projecting their negative feelings of their ex-spouse onto the child," Ms. Sillars mentions of the cause of this abuse. She stresses that the effects of this abuse has an enormous impact on the child's emotional development and can continue for the rest of the child's adolescence and beyond. Ms. Sillars is highly regarded in her field for the efforts she makes to educate the public at large, advocate and protect the emotional welfare of children.

Ms. Sillars established Eeny Meeny Miney Mo Foundation after her own experiences with parental alienation as a child and then again as an adult. She is passionate about putting children first and never putting them in a position to "choose" between their parents.
