KB The Boo Bonic Announces "Bat Sh!t" Mixtape Release

Austin femcee returns with signature Southern-styled hip hop in new mixtape

LOS ANGELES, CA, January 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Austin-based rap artist KB the Boo Bonic has announced the premiere of her newly released mixtape, "Bat Shit." A highly anticipated independent release, KB the Boo Bonic goes the length with her candid rap style and unapologetic demeanor. The 12-track mixtape includes throwback instrumentals such as Mike Jones "Cuttin", Ice Cube's "Smoke Some Weed", and classics like "No Diggity" as well as recent hit records like Pharrell and Diddy's "Finna Get Cute" and Usher's "I Don't Mind". She enlists scratches and cuts from Austin's own DJ Recspect throughout the project.

"I really just wanted to get back to freestyling after releasing my last studio album. I sat and recorded the entire tape myself over the course of a couple months, just having fun and laughing by myself. I picked beats I dig, some I was freestyling to years ago and some that just came out. Some people have this notion that some songs are too classic to touch and redo, but I guess a benefit of truly being batshit is, I don't really care. I just wanted to have a good time and give something to the folks out there who have been asking for new music from me since Farrah Flossitt dropped last year."

The southern rapper dropped her video "Bat Sh!t" earlier this month and has been featured on several noteworthy hip hop outlets such as Jack Thriller, Nikki Siixx, This is 50, You Heard That New and It's Bizkit. In addition to the mixtape, KB just wrapped up a the music video "Willie Nelson" - a remix of Drake's Jumpman.

The 12-track the mixtape can be downloaded on her official Soundcloud at http://buff.ly/1K1MqWS "Bat Sh!t" is also available on DatPiff and Bandcamp at http://buff.ly/1Qokz2N

About KB the Boo Bonic

KB the Boo Bonic is a woman, a Texan, a writer, a college graduate and maybe the last person you would ever expect to be a rapper. She started rapping over 10 years ago amidst the mix of her friends on the turntables and blunts and beers. A born and bred Houstonian, she was heavily influenced by the evolution of the hip-hop scene and chopped and screwed music. She just returned from her first international performance in Mexico City where she rocked the crowd while on stage at Festival Ajusco. KB the Boo Bonic is also in the studio recording a new EP release titled "Goldilox" which will drop later this year.
