Boca Raton Dentist Appointed to the Florida Board of Dentistry

    BOCA RATON, FL, March 03, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Governor Rick Scott has appointed Dr. Naved Fatmi, D.M.D. as the newest member of The Florida Board of Dentistry. Dr. Fatmi, Owner and Practicing Dentist of Regency Court Dentistry has been recognized by the Florida Board of Dentistry for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the field of dentistry.

The Florida Board of Dentistry was established to ensure that every dentist and dental hygienist practicing in this state meets minimum requirements for safe practice. The practice of these professions is a privilege granted by the State. The Board of Dentistry is responsible for licensure, monitoring and ensuring the safe practice of dentists and dental hygienists in their service to the people of Florida.

The Board consists of eleven members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. Seven members must be licensed dentists actively engaged in clinical practice; two members must be actively practicing dental hygienists; and two members must be consumers employed in a field or occupation that is not related to the dental profession.

Dr. Fatmi currently fills one of the seven member seats made up of licensed medical professionals that are actively practicing dental health. Dr. Fatmi practices a wide range of dental procedures from his Boca Raton dental practice, Regency Court Dentistry. The practice specializes in providing general dentistry services as well as many cosmetic, restorative and emergency dental services.
