What is the Global Earth Day Gratitude Celebration?

Observe the fresh insights that flood your own awareness and the world consciousness, as we spend at least one hour on Earth Day giving thanks to Mother Nature with our words and actions. Be epic.

Thanksgiving has turkey. Christmas has gifts and family. Valentine's Day has date night and chocolate. Earth Day, April 22, has been a holiday since 1970. Now, at last, Earth Day has it's own tradition - the global Earth Day Gratitude celebration. Part of protecting our environment is about getting smart about what it means to live sustainably and how to reduce our footprint on an individual basis. Earth Day is a celebration of that goal and a reminder to protect the thing we rely on most for our own livelihood - the Earth.

Join in being the change we wish to see, and start planning your own Earth Day Gratitude celebration now. People on six different continents are joining together in this worldwide celebration, which will continue for a full 24 hours. Share video, photos and posts about your celebration using the hash tags #EarthDay and #EarthDayGratitude. Check out sustainable films, and download a free Earth Day Gratitude ebook, full of tips on sustainability and gratitude, from the world's most respected visionaries at EarthdayGratitude.com.

In his speech at the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, #COP21, HRH Prince Charles issued a call to action to each of us, saying, "The moment has arrived to take those long-awaited steps towards rescuing our planet and our fellow man from impending catastrophe. Let us pursue that vital goal in a spirit of enlightened and human collaboration."

In a piece penned exclusively for the Earth Day Gratitude Project, Deepak Chopra wrote, "We call her "the environment," but [Earth] is our extended body that nourishes our existence in every moment of our life... Let us work to keep her sustainable, so we may in turn be nourished and sustained."

Each one of us can be part of the solution. Making smarter energy and life choices helps the environment, and it also helps our budget, offering thousands of dollars in saving every year.
