"Ribbons" Thrills with National Theatrical Release in Select Cities

    LOS ANGELES, CA, April 11, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elias Matar's emotionally charged suspense Ribbons stars Patrick Hickman and Brian Krause (Charmed). With his life spiraling out of control disenfranchised ex-soldier Vincent's (Hickman) chance meeting with Rachel (Haidyn Harvey) in a bar changes the course of his life forever. Hickman describes the film, "This film is a perfect mix of romance, action, and suspense. Ultimately the story shows that no matter what horrible things have happened to us, if we just fight our way out something great can happen." The film is set for a limited run in select cities: Los Angeles, April 14-16, Laemmele Theater, North Hollywood; April 21, Krikorian Premiere Theater, Redlands and Philadelphia, April 27, Ritz East. More cities to be announced.

About the Film: Intertwining stories involving an ex-soldier, the girl he meets at the bar, her volatile family, an Armenian hitman, and a cop set in motion a tense chain of events that lead to a thrilling twist. Matar, the director describes the behind the scenes conditions, "We had a relentless schedule of night shoots in harsh desert conditions with brutal actions sequences and emotionally challenging dialogue." Patrick Hickman: Hickman, the youngest of four grew up in the blue collar town of Darby, Pennsylvania. As a child it wasn't unusual for him to repeatedly watch films until he had literally memorized every line and reenact scenes verbatim for his friends. He trained at Actors Center in Philadelphia. After getting commercials, films, and theater under his belt he moved to Los Angeles where he trained with Thom Rivera at Elizabeth Mestnik Acting School. He recently wrapped his directorial debut.
