    NEW ORLEANS, LA, April 11, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With a keynote address by Jeff Skiles, co-pilot, US Airways Flight 1549, the "Miracle on the Hudson," an address by Christian Vaccari, vice president, Gulf Island Shipyards LLC, a free Maritime Job Fair, extensive conference program and hundreds of vendors as the main attractions, top commercial marine industry leaders from around the world will be coming to New Orleans April 12-14 for the annual WorkBoat Maintenance & Repair Conference and Expo at the Morial Convention Center in Hall B.

The inaugural Maintenance and Repair Show last year was attended by nearly 2,000 commercial marine leaders. The 2016 event will build on that success and offer the unique combination of a custom-tailored conference program, a highly focused exhibit hall and extensive networking events. The Expo will also host a free Maritime Job Fair offering over 160 immediate jobs and a Job Advice Center, safety training and more than 200 exhibiting companies.

More than 30 companies offering over 160 immediate jobs are expected to participate in the free Maritime Job Fair, which is presented in cooperation with the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

The show will also feature product demonstrations, the debut of more than 60 new commercial marine products and services and the Sinex Solutions User Conference. Sinex is a web-based program that helps manage and maintain commercial marine assets throughout their lifecycles. "With about 60% of the marine industry using our program, the Sinex User Conference gives us a chance to talk to our customers in one location and better meet the needs of their operations," said Barry Sinex, President.

The information-packed, full-day conference, held on opening day of the event, will feature 15 educational sessions in three tracts, Power & Propulsion, Regulatory Updates, and Structure & Hulls.
