Sustainability Voters Endorse Bernie Sanders (A Parallel World.com)

AParallelWorld.com (APW) the sustainability Marketplace, is shifting its previous "no politics policy" by endorsing the Sanders' run for the White House. Explained APW founder, Alan Hoffman, "Our initial vision had always been about transcending politics by focusing exclusively on the marketplace."

The long-time green entrepreneur confessed, "I'd be lying if I didn't admit that altering our original strategy came with some trepidation. Consultants warned us that discussing politics would limit APW's appeal. Instead we have decided to listen to our members and endorse Sanders. I'm even going so far as to offer a dollar donation to Bernie's campaign for each of the first 500 people to join APW."

"APW's original mission had always aimed at providing our members the information and vendors they needed to obtain an affordable, greener lifestyle," continued Hoffman. But with the near perfect alignment of Bernie's policies and APW values, we felt compelled to start advocating for the interests of "sustainability voters." Hoffman defines "sustainability voters" as people who "vote green and vote with their wallets."

"Our purpose was to spread the word about sustainable alternatives being cost effective today," said Hoffman. "If all you listened to was corporate media you'd think solar energy wasn't a viable alternative right now. You might even believe that fossil fuels will be with us until the end of the century. A huge part of APW's aim is to set the record straight on those kinds of distortions and omissions."

In order to keep refining it message, APW surveyed its members now 1,700 strong on issues of sustainability as well as candidates they supported. That ongoing polling plus extensive social media feedback convinced Hoffman and his team that the burgeoning APW community was displaying unequivocal support for Sanders.

Reflects Hoffman, "The political revolution taking shape as a result of the Sanders' campaign cannot be denied." However, Hoffman is quick to point out that APW's original goal is still what drives him and his team. "Once Americans find out that sustainable alternatives are here and cost effective," says Hoffman, "a new sustainable economy will replace these carbon-fueled multi-national corporate dinosaurs."

"It is a goal of APW and its members to accelerate America's transition to sustainability," emphasized Hoffman. "Right now our members believe the best way to do that is by supporting Bernie Sanders.
