ST. LOUIS, MO, June 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- BHS Global Ltd., Inc., a leading provider of battery handling and warehouse equipment, recently attended the CeMAT trade show in Hannover, Germany to demonstrate how material handling equipment can improve supply chain efficiency.

CeMAT is the largest supply chain solutions show by attendance. The 2014 CeMAT attracted 53,000 visitors from 65 nations. This year's show ran from May 31 to June 3, 2016, with both indoor and outdoor exhibits covering the Hannover Exhibition Grounds.

While BHS regularly exhibits at CeMAT events, this year's booth featured advanced demonstrations of the company's products. BHS representatives showed how optimized battery rooms can improve efficiency throughout the supply chain.

"In many international markets, there's not a lot of emphasis on the role of lift truck battery management in logistics," said Katy Cortinovis, Marketing Manager at BHS. "However, a properly outfitted battery room can quickly provide a return on investment. When workers aren't waiting on battery change-outs, they're moving products, and we provide all of the resources that businesses need to earn more revenue."

The BHS booth at CeMAT included a double-stack battery extractor (BE-24-2-DS), which weighs 2,722 kilograms (6,000 pounds). This fully operational battery extractor attracted attention during the trade show, as BHS performed battery swaps at regular intervals.

"Every time the battery extractor went into action, people stopped what they were doing to watch," said Cortinovis. "It's an impressive piece of machinery."

The BHS booth was part of the "Move & Lift" topic. In addition to the fully powered battery extractor, BHS showcased smaller powered machines such as the Automatic Transfer Carriage (ATC) and a manual machine, the Manual Transfer Trolley (MTT). BHS also exhibited its growing line of warehouse equipment, including structural barrier rails, Powered Mobile Lift Table (PMLT) and Scissor Lift Table (LT).

BHS representatives from Venezuela, Germany, Italy, Turkey and the United States provided visitors with product information, and the company supported its exhibit with its first-ever digital crossover platform. The BHS Global website helped visitors find the booth and provided additional product information, allowing for a more productive visit.

As the only battery handling equipment manufacturer with a dedicated booth at CeMAT, BHS received significant interest throughout the week.

"In many international markets, labor rates are relatively low, so an optimized battery room might not seem like an important investment," said Cortinovis. "However, proper equipment limits change-out times, keeps workers on the floor and drastically improves productivity. Our goal at CeMAT was simply to create awareness and show the return on investment. To those ends, CeMAT was an absolute success, and we're excited to continue developing relationships in these new markets."
