Websites Are Reuniting Lost Pets

When pets wander from home, these two websites are ready to help. Fido Finder and Tabby Tracker are essential resources for tracking down your lost pet.

/24-7PressRelease/ - HOUSTON, TX, March 03, 2008 - FidoFinder.com and TabbyTracker.com are ahead of the pack when it comes to reuniting lost dogs and cats with their owners. With more than 400 lost dogs and cats reunited through the websites, founder Wes Cutshall says his websites are the top sites for reuniting Fido and Fluffy with their owners. "We have more lost dogs and cats added to our database each day than any other public database," Cutshall says.

Fidofinder.com recently reunited a lost Dachshund named Oscar with his owner seventeen days after he went missing. Oscar slipped through the fence in the back yard of his Deer Park, Texas home. He ended up at a local tire store before being picked up by a Good Samaritan. Before Oscar's owner, Anita Bettis, could find him, he was taken home by a family hoping to find his owners. In her search for Oscar, Bettis posted flyers at local vet clinics, contacted her local animal shelter, filed a missing pet report with the local police department, and listed her lost dog on FidoFinder.com. In the end, it was the information on Fido Finder that brought Oscar home. Seventeen days after he was lost, Bettis and Oscar's finders exchanged information using Fido Finder. Bettis had posted Oscar's information on the website and received a call from Oscar's finder. Bettis says she is extremely grateful for Fido Finder's work in finding her beloved pet. Bettis says she recommends Fido Finder to anyone who has lost their dog as it was the only way she could ever have been reunited with Oscar.

When cat owner Cindy Andreosatos of Natick, Massachusetts discovered her cat was missing, she franticly began searching her neighborhood for the lost cat, Stella. The winter weather had been bad for weeks and Stella needed to be brought home soon. After a few days and no sign of Stella, a neighbor who had previously lost her own cat joined in the search. The willing neighbor was aware of TabbyTracker.com and searched the website for Stella. Sure enough, the person who had found Stella had registered her on Tabby Tracker. Stella appeared in the search results for Andreosatos' zip code. Andreosatos was reunited that day with her wayward Stella and is ever grateful for Tabby Tracker. "I am going to tell everyone who has a cat about your site!" Andreosatos told Cutshall.
