Johnny Prill Band Hosts Ninth Annual Free Outdoor Concert

Band offers free concert to celebrate National Grandparents' Day.

"National Grandparents' Day is a wonderful time to reflect on the importance of our nation's grandparents and the vital roles they play in our lives," says Prill.

BAD AXE, MI, August 17, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Johnny Prill Band will celebrate National Grandparents' Day on September 11 by hosting its ninth annual free outdoor concert at Courtney Manor Nursing Home. Additionally, the band will be celebrating 30 years of volunteer work at Courtney Manor. Johnny is Courtney Manor's longest running volunteer, volunteering musical entertainment monthly for the past 30 years.

"I owe a special thank you to Kay Peruski and the staff at Courtney Manor for all the help and support that make this concert possible," says Johnny.

The concert, located at 1167 E. Hopson St. in Bad Axe, is open to the public and will run from 1:30-3:30 pm. Rock Harley, a Johnny Cash tribute artist, will be a featured special guest. Rock Harley's uncanny physical resemblance, coupled with vocals that yield the undeniable presence of Cash, provides a hauntingly realistic performance of the "Man in Black." The show will open with Miguel DelRosario singing A Song for Grandma and Grandpa, Johnny's original composition and the official song of National Grandparents' Day. Johnny will be performing with various family members: father John (bass guitar), brother Christopher (violin), and son Johnny (sound engineer). His three daughters, Misty, Sarah and Jennifer will be singing and reading inspirational poems.

"National Grandparents' Day is a wonderful time to reflect on the importance of our nation's grandparents and the vital roles they play in our lives," says Prill.
