Twelve of the conferences have a clinical focus: Anaesthesia; Cardiology; Dermatology; Diabetes; Emergency Medicine, General Practitioners; Nursing; Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Orthopaedics; Paediatrics; Radiology; and Surgery.

The General Practitioners Conference (September 17) has been accredited for its educational / CPD content by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), the professional membership body and guardian of standards for family doctors in the UK.

Six dedicated non-clinical conferences are aimed at improving recruitment and retention strategies, and the wider aspect of career progression. This suite of conferences covers: Leadership and Management Skills; Working Abroad; Best Practice and Trust Showcase; Alternative Careers; Placement & Specialist Selection; and Nursing Workforce Planning and Strategy.

The Placement and Specialist Selection Workshop, on September 17, includes a session on how to approach the medical specialist application form and prepare the perfect medical CV. An all-day conference on leadership and management skills on September 15 considers techniques and tools, and also looks at developing leadership skills including structuring career pathways, leading organisational change, developing enhanced influencing skills and dealing with underperformance.

Running alongside the conferences is a healthcare recruitment fair with exhibitors representing a range of trusts, clinical commissioning groups, and healthcare service providers from around the UK. Over 400 jobs vacancies are being promoted by employers including University College Hospital London, Kings College Hospital, and Whittington Health.

Exhibitors will include a number of overseas and international organisations who are particularly keen to recruit UK-trained doctors, including representatives from Western Australia, and Gulf Region hospitals in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Doha. The Cleveland Clinic will also be represented.

The event is the UK's newest and largest recruitment and career development event designed to support the whole healthcare sector. The groundbreaking event has been developed by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, part of the group which puts on one of the world's largest accredited medical congresses at Arab Health.

"A key element to the Healthcare Recruitment & Training Fair is in the range of CPD-accredited conferences and masterclasses. In line with Informa Life Sciences' philosophy of 'Exhibition with Education', these premier seminars will attract a diverse range of specialists and doctors," said Dr Tahira Rashid, Head of Development at Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions.

"Recruitment shows are a popular and effective way of filling vacancies quickly," she added. "These one stop solutions have proven to be the ideal way to fill current vacancies in the shortest time while delivering training to enhance the retention of good employees."

"The Healthcare Recruitment & Training Fair will appeal to all professionals working in healthcare who are interested in career opportunities, with exhibitors looking to recruit medical and non-medical professionals. Sales, marketing, HR and administrative roles have all been highlighted as key positions that desperately need experienced professionals."

The Healthcare Recruitment & Training Fair and all of the conferences are free to attend, but visitors are asked to register in advance to gain fast-track access into the exhibition, conference streams and to be kept up-to-date with the latest event news and updates.
