Everywhere Wireless Becomes Chicago's Internet Provider for Summer Concerts

Riot Fest, Spring Awakening, The Chosen Few, North Coast Music Festival and Mamby on the Beach Choose GB+ Internet

"Everywhere Wireless is Chicago's leading Internet provider - and it isn't a summer in Chicago without a festival," said Quinn Murphy, Associate Director of Marketing for Everywhere Wireless.

CHICAGO, IL, September 17, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chicago comes alive during the summer months, with street festivals popping up every weekend and outdoor concerts bringing in hundreds of suburbanites to see everyone from The Flaming Lips to Lupe Fiasco. Between the bustle of the brunch crowd on a Saturday afternoon and the lure of the lake on a warm, sunny day, it's no wonder that the Chicago music scene takes off after Memorial Day.

This past summer, Chicago's festival scene was also the most connected it's ever been, as locally-based Gigabit Internet provider Everywhere Wireless lit up dozens of events with Chicago's fastest, most reliable Internet including Spring Awakening (June 10th-12th, Addams/Medill Park), Mamby on the Beach (July 2nd and 3rd, Oakwood Beach), The Chosen Few DJs Music Festival (June 2nd and 3rd, Jackson Park), North Coast Music Festival (September 2nd-6th, Union Park) and Riot Fest, coming up September 16th-18th at Douglas Park.

Riot Fest brings punk, rock and hip-hop acts for three performance-filled days in Douglas Park, with this year's headliners including the Misfits, Morrissey and the Jimmy Eat World, while Spring Awakening appeals to the electronic music fans. North Coast Music Festival wraps up the Summer with a Labor Day weekend featuring folk, rock, hip hop and electronic musical performances.

Mamby on the Beach - back for its second summer after a successful inaugural season in 2015 - boasted a wide array of genres with their lineup beach volleyball, yoga and palm reading.

The Chosen Few, which began over 20 years ago as the "Chosen Few Old School Reunion Picnic," celebrated the history of the house music genre. Born in Chicago's south side in the 70's, house music started as an underground movement that was popularized by the same DJs who formed the "Chosen Few Disco Corp." What started as a few friends reminiscing on the old days with a picnic in the park is now a major part of Chicago's musical history.

"Everywhere Wireless is Chicago's leading Internet provider - and it isn't a summer in Chicago without a festival," said Quinn Murphy, Associate Director of Marketing for Everywhere Wireless. "We are consistently seeing an increased demand for our services by the organizers of these large-scale concerts and multiple-day-long festivals."

Everywhere Wireless owns and manages a Chicago-based Gigabit Internet Network, designed for multi-family communities and businesses, some of which include Cisco, CBS, Nike and Google. Everywhere Wireless partnered with the City of Chicago to deliver Wi-Fi to many of Chicago's beaches and parks including additions last summer at 31st Street and 57th Street. This year, the company expanded its Wi-Fi coverage to Oak Street Beach and recently activated a free Wi-Fi network at Buckingham Fountain and Museum Campus. EW's network offers speeds of more than 1,000 megabits per second (Mbps), also known as Gigabit speeds.
