/24-7PressRelease/ - Hanover, PA, March 6, 2008, Curtis R Doll Jr., founder, artist and designer of CurtisGraphics Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of art and design.
Mr. Doll has 30 years of professional experience designing monumental architectural stained glass windows, creating fine art photographs and since 1998, digitally enhancing, manipulating and restoring photographs. His areas of expertise include producing paintings in mediums consisting of pastels, oils, acrylics, gouache and watercolor and since 1998, gicl e fine art prints. CurtisGraphics Corporation also offers digital graphic design, illustration, advertising including billboards, signs, website design, etc. and motion graphics.
In addition to his career in art, Mr. Doll had a poem entitled 'The Lark Ascending', published in the International Library of Poetry Anthology which was titled The Solace of Night in 2002 by Watermark Press, One Poetry Plaza, Owings Mills, MD. He has also been published in Stained Glass Quarterly Magazine on a set of six monumental stained glass windows he designed for Tifereth Israel in Columbus, OH using the Six Orders of the Mishna as the theme.
Mr. Doll attributes his success to being blessed with the creative ability to conceive ideas, along with the technical ability and volition to give form to those ideas. All that he is he owes to the endless blessings the Holy One has showered upon him. He became involved in his field as a natural outgrowth from his childhood to the present. He could not ever be anything else and be happy or feel complete. The highlight of his career was delivering a speech on the spiritual and symbolic meaning beneath the six new stained glass windows that he designed for the new chapel at Tifereth Israel in Columbus, Ohio. This speech took the place of the Rabbi's sermon on Library Shabbat.
Mr. Doll received his Associates Degree in Advanced Technology from Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts in York, PA in 1998. In 1977, Doll was an honor graduate of fine art from the York Academy of Arts in Pennsylvania. Mr. Doll is also an affiliated member of the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society. In 2004, Mr. Doll received the World Web Award of Excellence from Art Space 2000 in recognition of originality, overall design and appearance, ease of navigation, and content. The International Association of Web Masters and Designers presented Mr. Doll with the Golden Web Award in recognition of creativity, integrity and excellence on the web. The Art Academy of Paris, in partnership with artcult.com awarded him the Art Award of Excellency. The Pastel Society of America at the National Arts Club, Gramercy Park, New York, NY presented him with the Pope Foundation Award for Abstract and among other awards he received the Golden Award presented by Photoimagination Photographers of the World.
