WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT PEN?

PEN's mission is to engage, educate, and empower parents in developing the physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and mental health, well-being, and safety of youth and families. We serve the parents of more than 300,000 families in the Boulder Valley School District, and beyond. Raising children isn't about surviving; it is about enjoying the ride and creating healthy families and communities across generations. This gets increasingly challenging, as our world becomes more and more complex. PEN has nearly 15 years experience providing programs and services, and is trusted by parents, schools, and professionals to give the education, support, and resourced needed for thriving families and communities.

The organization works in partnership with the Boulder Valley School District, and several other partners, to help parents address a variety of issues impacting youth and families. These include everything from risk behaviors like self-harm, eating disorders, depression, suicide prevention, and bullying, to preventative tips on raising resilient youth, building positive family relationships, fostering a healthy self-image, communication skills, as well as managing stress and anxiety. PEN is also equipped to provide general education around some topics, such as financial literacy, diversity & inclusion, technology, sexual orientation, and transitioning to middle school, high school, and college. PEN supports ALL families by providing free or reduced rates, childcare, and translation & interpretation for Spanish Speakers.
