K-Syran, Artist and Activist, Officially Supports World Hello Day with Her US Billboard Radio Hit 'Hello'

To celebrate, internationally renowned singer/songwriter, K-Syran, releases her new single 'Hello' to the UK. Taken from her album 'Smoke In My Veins', 'Hello' is a fun pop song, which remained on the Billboard Top 40 throughout this summer. K-Syran unleashes it to the UK as a vibrant hi-five to her fans.

Embracing the full fun and excitement of World Hello Day, K-Syran will also offer fans other elements which will help put the 'pop' into this special occasion. 'Hello' will be available as a phone download on her website, as well as super-slick K-Syran 'Hello-jis', which kids or fans can cut out and wear on the day.

I thought adding a ring-tone and some hello-jis for everyone to share would be a great way for me to help everyone say 'hello' and put a smile on each other's faces," beams K-Syran.

A cheeky pop vibe, with addictive melodic loops, 'Hello' first came to public attention when it was picked from K-Syran's latest album at the same time as Adele's 'Hello' was released during the Autumn of 2015. Since then, K-Syran's 'Hello' has garnered enormous public attention as audiences demand its performance during live gigs. K-Syran finally bowed to public demand with the release of 'Hello' in the USA, during this summer. The track instantly climbed its way up the Billboard charts. 'Hello' is a bouncy pop song recorded in part at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, known as a birthplace of classic rock albums by The Beatles, Oasis, and Pink Floyd. As a tip-of-the-hat to her fans, whom she always feels the needs to connect with, K-Syran produced a fun self-made video on Snap-chat, demonstrating that however we look, we all need someone to love us.

K-Syran, is a singer-songwriter, actress, director, producer, and human rights activist, based in Geneva, Switzerland. Born in Norway, she embarked on musical career early on, following the footsteps of her father, a professional drummer. She has performed as a singer various ensembles, including a jazz combo and a hard rock band, throughout her youth. K-Syran's notable musical collaborations include Sugarbabes' Amelle Berrabah and British dance music producer and DJ Mark Loverush.

Also known as Katrina Syran, she is a devoted feminist, who has a parallel career as a playwright and activist for women's rights. In 2015, she took her play Breaking the Silence: Monologues on Gender, Voice and Violence to New York, where it was presented at the United Nations as part of a Lecture Series on women, peace, and security. The play, co-written with Suzan Craig, is based on Human Rights Watch Women's Division reports and discusses global problems that woman face. Breaking the Silence was nominated Best Play at the London Summit to End Sexual Violence In Conflict, organized by Angelina Jolie and William Hague. K-Syran received formal theater training at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, graduating with honors and a degree in acting. Katrina has worked as an actor and director with the West End Theaters and at The Young Vic, appearing in Ibsen's Women as Nora and Voyage in the Dark as Anna. Her film credits include short film Don't Miss the Cup, which she also produced, and recently a role in a UK TV series Head. She's currently filming the feature film Espera, in which she has the leading role.

K-Syran's single 'Hello' and the album 'Smoke In My Veins' are both now available to purchase - released through Intimacy Records.
