Throw a hassle free Christmas Eve party with Prairie Grass Cafe's Christmas Eve To Go!

CHICAGO, IL, December 07, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The popular Christmas Eve To Go menu at Prairie Grass Cafe (601 Skokie Blvd., Northbrook, IL 847-205-4433) is giving the restaurant's annual Thanksgiving To Go a run for its money. Thanks to Executive Chefs and co-owners Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris, preparing for the holidays, planning a party and feeding your loved ones a delicious home cooked Christmas Eve feast just became a lot easier.

This year's Christmas Eve Dinner to Go menu consists of various creative appetizers, hearty side dishes, traditional main courses and holiday favorite desserts. Pick and choose your perfect combination for a delicious Christmas Eve feast.

The menu begins with five delectable appetizer options. The first is a classic crowd pleaser, the Caesar Salad with homemade dressing, croutons and parmesan cheese (small for $15, serves 2, or large for $45, serves 6). For a more winter-y specialty, try the House Salad with baby greens, Brussel sprouts, kale, candied pecans, pomegranate seeds and sherry vinaigrette (small for $18, serves 2, or large for $54, serves 6). Next is the Shrimp Cocktail with cocktail sauce (dozen for $51). Lastly, for a warmer appetizer, are winter favorites Butternut Squash Soup (quart with 4 servings $20) or Parsnip Soup with pomegranate garnish (quart for $20, serves 4).

Main course selections feature mouthwatering hearty meats. The most traditional dish is the Bone in Ham with honey raisin glaze (20 lbs. for $180 (serves 10-14). For a more adventurous Christmas Eve dish, the Prime Rib with mushroom sauce prepared medium rare (15 lbs. for $425, serves 10-12) will satisfy any carnivore. Another favorite is the Braised BBQ Brisket (4 6oz portions for $80). For a lighter main course, try the Roasted Salmon with honey mustard glaze (2.5 lbs. for $160, serves 6-8).

There are five unique side dishes available to accompany the main course and round out your Christmas Eve dinner. The side dishes include Creamed Spinach with bacon (quart for $24), Roasted Root Vegetables (quart for $20), Twice Baked Potato with Cheddar, scallions and a chive and horseradish sour cream ($6 per potato) and Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Chestnuts (quart for $24). Spice up Brussel sprouts, or any of the other side dishes, with an order of Remoulade (cup for $6).

Complete your perfect Christmas Eve feast with a delicious dessert. Choose from Prairie Grass Cafe's famously decadent Double Chocolate Cake ($50, 10-12 slices), Sticky Toffee Date Cake ($60, 8-10 slices), or Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing ($60, 10-12 slices).
