Vital Simulations and careLearning Announce National Medical Education Distribution Partnership

Medical education development company to provide continuing education healthcare content for national learning management system provider.

"We are eager to provide this adverse event and chronic disease education to our more than 800,000 learners and 40 state hospital associations nationwide."

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, January 16, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- VitalSims announces its formal partnership with careLearning in which the medical education development company will provide continuing healthcare education content to the national learning management system provider.

"We are pleased that the leadership at careLearning has evaluated our healthcare learning simulations and chosen to provide our content to their members," said David Wrightsman, CEO of VitalSims. "This is an additional validation the quality of content on our platform and demand for the innovative mobile deployment that our software provides," he added.

careLearning has formally launched the VitalSims healthcare education content on their learning management system which will provide continuing education credit to healthcare professionals across the country. "We believe that educational simulations from VitalSims which are interactive and provide immediate feedback will be a key element in the evolution of professional development training," said Peggy Engelkemier, Director of Workforce Development Service for careLearning. "We are eager to provide this adverse event and chronic disease education to our more than 800,000 learners and 40 state hospital associations nationwide.

The agreement includes access to SiMCare Diabetes, which is an electronic medical record based outcome projector which was created with data collected from thousands of patients in which multiple publications have confirmed increased learner retention, improved patient outcomes and reduction of cost to the healthcare system. "We have seen many diabetes-focused continuing education platforms in the past, and SiMCare is the most robust and powerful tool we have encountered in many years," said Engelkemier. VitalSims and SiMCare Diabetes were selected as a national finalist in the American Diabetes Association Venture to Stop Diabetes Challenge earlier this year and presented to a panel of industry experts in Chicago, IL.

Also included are ClinicalCare avatar based educational simulations which focus on high incidence adverse events that occur within health networks nationwide. These include: pressure ulcer prevention, falls prevention and incontinence-associated skin damage. "We continue to see annual improvement towards the reduction of adverse events and these trainings will augment and accelerate this positive trend on a forward moving basis," said Wrightsman.
