Geraldine Kunstadter Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Foundation Operations

Today, she excels as the Chairman, President and a Director of the Albert Kunstadter Family Foundation, with which she has worked since 1965.

    NEW YORK, NY, January 31, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Geraldine Kunstadter has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A foundation executive with more than five decades of experience, Ms. Kunstadter has met with success by committing her life and career to helping others, both in the field of Philanthropy and that of International Relations. Today, she excels as the Chairman, President and a Director of the Albert Kunstadter Family Foundation, with which she has worked since 1965. She assumed the role of Chairman and President after the death of her husband, John W. Kunstadter in 2003.
In the 1980s, Ms. Kunstadter initiated, and is responsible for, programs of International Grantmaking for the foundation in China, Vietnam, Cambodia and South Africa. Previously, she came to prominence as President of Capricon Investments and in Aircraft Gas Turbine Design for the General Electric Company in Lynn, MA. Other noteworthy roles held by Ms. Kunstadter include Host Family Program Director of the New York City Commission for the United Nations and Consular Corps, President of the National Institute of Social Sciences, Advisory Council member for the Hospitality Committee for United Nations Delegations and Executive Committee member of the United Nations Delegations Women's Clubs.

In recognition of her professional excellence, Ms. Kunstadter was the recipient of the Windham Award from Windham College, the Silver Medal Award from the National Institute of Social Sciences, The First President's Medal of the Architectural Society of China and the Humanitarian Award of the Hospitality Committee for UN Delegations.

Geraldine Kunstadter prepared for her career by studying engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Thereafter, she established her footing in the field of International Relations through her affiliations with the Yale-China Association, Institute of Current World Affairs, Institute of World Affairs, National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, Council on Foreign Relations and the Hurlingham and Lansdowne Clubs of London. In addition, she has taken on other career opportunities to increase her impact on her work. As she looks to the future, Ms. Kunstadter intends to continue contributing to the fields of Philanthropy and International Relations, while taking on new projects and opportunities as they arise.
