As chief executive officer and president of Dennis Shipping Company, Inc., Mr. Hawthorne has an impressive history working in the shipping industry and excels in business management and exporting oversight. Originally from Grande Hill in Westmoreland, Jamaica, Mr. Hawthorne emigrated to the United States in the early 1980s.

Mr. Hawthorne earned a diploma in photography and design art from the New York Institute of Photography. A member of the Caribbean/American Chamber of Commerce, he was featured in the Caribbean News and received the Jamaican Prime Minister Award. He is a member of the East Flatbush Caribbean American Outreach Association, the Kings Highway Development Project and Grange Hill Alumni.

In 1988, Dennis Shipping Company, Inc., started out as a home-based photography and shipping business, then called Dennis Photography and Shipping. After a few years, the company changed its name and focused on shipping alone. With a fully computerized office and a state-of-the-art shipping and tracking system, Dennis Shipping offers empty barrels, boxes, wrapping and packing supplies, money transfers and U-Haul rentals.
