New Romance Novel, The Girl in the Peach Tree, Takes Readers on an Adventure of Love, Life & Betrayal

The Girl in the Peach Tree is a dynamic romance novel that has it all. Romance, adventure, action and deception, supported by a cast of adored characters that have you aching to turn the page and find out what happens next.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, February 06, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What makes a romance novel come to life so that the reader feels like they are living within the story? The answer is simple; the author finds a way to invite the reader into the world she has created. The Girl in the Peach Tree is that perfect invitation for any reader who wants to dive into a tale of truth and love and walk with the characters as they face great personal triumphs and heartbreaking sorrows. In this romance novel, the reader will find new friends and enemies with every new chapter they read.

The novel tells the story of Maya Wells, a young woman who grew up in a home cloaked in her mother's depression. Then, on the night before her wedding she is awkwardly gifted with a panic attack that forces her to face the reality that she does not love her future husband and hates her life. At 25, after cancelling the wedding Maya finds herself floundering in an emotional fog of fear and jaded family memories. An unexpected change of events leads Maya to become one of the eight contest winners of a month-long stay at a vineyard retreat in Portugal. Maya dives into a world of heart-felt friendships, food, love, passion, and an elusive joy, unearthed in an airport waiting room when she meets Cristiano. But be warned--new friends aren't always what they seem, and falling in love is sometimes disrupted with secrets ... and yes, mean girls do exist.

As Oucharek-Deo states, "I'm overjoyed to discover how The Girl in the Peach Tree is being received by readers. My goal was to write a story that would create a reflective surface and allow the reader to possibly see a part of themselves in that reflection. It was a pleasant surprise to receive feedback from a 48 year-old male cook and a 14 year-old female student who both loved the book but for very different reasons."

As Kawika on Maui said, "A wonderful book of a young woman's personal growth during a visit to Portugal. A budding romance, mysterious new acquaintances, and a month at a small winery/B&B ... a romance novel with a lot of interesting twists and turns."

The Girl in the Peach Tree is 391 pages, ISBN #978-1-988348-00-1 and available both in print and e-book at leading bookstores including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and the author's website at michelleoucharekdeo.com
