Author Steve Snyder's Military Aviation Book, 'Shot Down', Chosen As Book Of The Year By OnlineBookClub

February 8 - A softcover edition of 'Shot Down' was released today on the 73rd anniversary of Snyder's father's plane, the B-17 Susan Ruth, being shot down on February 8, 1944.

February 11 - PowerPoint presentation at the 100th Bomb Group Reunion of the 8th Air Force at the Palm Springs Air Museum in Palm Springs, California

February 15 - 'Shot Down' was part of a display for the grand opening of Heroes Hall in Costa Mesa, California, a veterans museum housed in a re-furbished WW II barracks at what was the Santa Ana Army Air Base (SAAAB).

Steve Snyder retired from VSP in 2009 after 36 years in national sales and sales management, He began his quest to know everything possible about the World War II experiences of his father, pilot Howard Snyder, and his crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth.
