Michigan Governor's Tourism Conference Hosts Hospitality Career Matchmaking Fair

On Tuesday, March 21, the conference presents the first Hospitality Career Matchmaking Fair at the Detroit Renaissance Marriott.

    DETROIT, MI, March 02, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Innovative job matchmaking initiatives play a major role at the upcoming Pure Michigan Governor's Conference on Tourism. On Tuesday, March 21, the conference presents the first Hospitality Career Matchmaking Fair at the Detroit Renaissance Marriott. The event provides job seekers and students the chance to connect with employers in the Michigan hospitality industry.

This unique career matchmaking fair has job opportunities in many areas, including food and beverage, customer service, concierge services, hospitality management, building maintenance, accounting, event planning, and more.

Employers from across Michigan will attend, including Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, The Inn at St. Johns in Plymouth, and the Detroit Zoo.

"There's a real need for talent in our hospitality industry right now," said Deanna Richeson, president & CEO of the Michigan Lodging and Tourism Association. "Great jobs are available at all levels. This free event is open to all job seekers. Those who register and submit their resumes by March 10 will have the opportunity to be matched and connected with potential employers prior to the event. During the fair, attendees also have accessto job coaches who can help match and direct them to the employers who are hiring for their skill sets.
