Thomas Bosworth Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Almost 60 Years of Industry Experience

Mr. Bosworth was the Medal of Honor Winner through the American Institute of Architects

SEATTLE, WA, April 12, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Bosworth has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Recognized for nearly six decades of invaluable contributions to his field, Mr. Bosworth parlays his knowledge into his current role as a professor emeritus with the University of Washington, which he has held 1998, and as a partner with Bosworth Hoedemaker, Architecture and Planning, which he has held since 2004. Prior to entering the field in a professional capacity, he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Oberlin College and pursued postgraduate studies with Princeton University and Harvard University. Mr. Bosworth then joined Gordon McMaster American Institute of Architects as a draftsman for a year, and subsequently served as a resident planner for Tunnard & Harris Planning Consultant. After that, he transferred to Eero Saarinen & Associates in the roles of designer and field supervisor for two separate branches and went back to school to obtain a Master of Architecture from Yale University. He used that degree to propel him into individual architecture practice in Providence, R.I., and Seattle, Wash.

With such an extensive background, Mr. Bosworth decided it was only natural to share his expertise with others. Thus, he acquired a variety of positions in academic institutions like Yale University, the University of Washington, and Rhode Island School of Design. He was also a visiting lecturer at Kobe University in Japan and a Pietro Belluschi distinguished visiting professor at the University of Oregon.

To remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Bosworth affiliates himself with the American Institute of Architects, where he was the Seattle Medalist in 2003 and the Medal of Honor winner for the Northwest Pacific Region in 2013. He was recognized for his work many other times as well, including through 27 design awards and inclusion into Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in American Education, and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Looking forward, Mr. Bosworth intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
