Brooklyn Apache Press Publishes Anniversary Edition of Frankenstein

Brooklyn Apache Press has just released a new edition of Mary Shelley's classic Gothic horror novel "Frankenstein" to commemorate the upcoming two hundredth anniversary.

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 16, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "On a dark and stormy night, while trying to scare her schoolmates, Mary Shelley came up with Frankenstein. The resulting novel ended up terrifying the world. Now, nearly two hundred years later, we are celebrating this occasion with a bicentennial collector's edition of her masterpiece," states screenwriter and novelist Carlton Holder, owner of Brooklyn Apache.

Frankenstein is a horrific allegory of the consequences of playing God. The monster, a wretch and fiend so ghastly that to look upon him instills terror in even the bravest soul, is a creature to be both hated and pitied. The story, which is also perhaps the first modern science fiction novel, is a tragedy that will resound throughout the annals of literary history for all eternity.

The landmark edition sports a custom oil painting cover by New York gallery artist Jamie Holder, vivid new chapter titles, the entire gory original manuscript and a re-imagination short story penned by Holder as an untold chapter left out of Victor Frankenstein's own chilling final account.
"It was truly a pleasure putting this project together and I hope it gives readers everywhere nightmares for years to come," Carlton adds.

Brooklyn Apache Press is a independent publishing house that is dedicated to genre fare and diversity in entertainment.
