TMS Symposium Faculty and Student Reception Planned

As TMS continues to grow, the Symposium will include exploration on the treatment of special populations outside of major depression.

Given the caliber of our faculty and the growth of TMS, we're excited to nurture the conversation between faculty and conference attendees.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 10, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TMS Health Solutions announced today that they are planning a reception event for all attendees of the Advanced Hands-On TMS Symposium. "We've always kept our class size small, and the ability to have small group discussions has been one of the reasons behind this. We now have this additional opportunity for one-to-one discussions amongst faculty and attendees with a reception on our first night. Given the caliber of our faculty and the growth of TMS, we're excited to nurture the conversation between faculty and attendees," said Karl Lanocha, Director of Education for TMS Health Solutions and Course Chair for the Advanced Symposium.

As TMS continues to grow in potential applications and with the expected expansion of FDA label, the Symposium will include exploration on the treatment of special populations outside of major depression. Given that TMS is one of the fastest growing therapies in Psychiatry, the Symposium promises to be a robust four-days, with faculty from universities and facilities such as Duke, Stanford, the Mayo Clinic, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and UCLA. "We wanted to be sure that our attendees have ample opportunity to discuss their learning with one another and the faculty, and ask any questions inside and outside of class time. We felt the reception was a great way to enable and support this," said Richard Bermudes, course faculty for TMS Health Education and previous President of Clinical TMS Society.

Attendees of the Symposium will include physicians from across the country as well as a select group of residents. As September looms near, there are a few seats left for the annual class, with over twenty-four CME credits to be awarded to participants. The reception will be held on the evening of Thursday, September 7th, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco's Union Square.

About TMS Therapy
Cleared by the FDA in 2008, TMS is a drug-free, non-invasive therapy for patients who suffer from treatment-resistant depression. It is administered in a physician's office in an outpatient setting. By using an MRI-strength magnetic field to stimulate the prefrontal cortex of the brain, the core symptoms of major depression can be relieved. Unlike antidepressants or Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), patients undergoing TMS therapy experience minimal side effects.

About TMS Health Education:
