Posh Seven Magazine Turns 10 Years Old

Posh Seven Magazine for women living in Loudoun County, Great Falls and Reston celebrated turning 10 years old in a beautiful party hosted by Eddie Merlot's in One Loudoun.

"I am overwhelmed by the support of the community, to which I owe my gratitude for the success of Posh Seven" says Hulya Aksu.

ASHBURN, VA, October 26, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Posh Seven Magazine utilized the 10th day of October to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the publication. The magazine, formerly known as I Am Modern, has been a local favorite, showcasing the lifestyle of the savvy and frugal posh community along Route 7 in northern Virginia. The anniversary party held at the sumptuous Eddie Merlot restaurant in One Loudoun was a festive reader engagement event with advertising partners, supporters, contributors and cover subjects in attendance.

"I am overwhelmed by the support of the community, to which I owe my gratitude for the success of Posh Seven," says publisher, Hulya Aksu. "When I started this magazine, I had my youngest child literally on my hip and I met so many people with interesting stories that I wanted to share. Being new to the community I also sought to find pediatricians, dentists and activities for my children--that's what drove me to create this magazine, to be a resource and talk about what goes on in this community."

The community showed to help celebrate Posh Seven's anniversary. The standing room only rooms were filled with supporters who were delighted with delectable food provided by Eddie Merlot and the melodic jazz band The Touch Combo. Door prizes and swag bags were donated by Current Salon, Reston Limousine, Nothing Bundt Cake, Exsurgo Fitness. Local notables in attendance: Loudoun County Supervisor, Phyllis Randall, New York Times Best Seller Author Mary Rand Hess (Solo), MK Meredith were among many others.

The magazine started the series of parties this year leading up to this event. The 1st annual "Stay-at-Home-Moms Office Holiday Party" kicked of the celebrations in December 2016, followed by the "Pretty in Pink" post Valentine's girl's night out party in February; and Mom Prom in May. Posh Seven will continue to celebrate throughout the remainder of the year with social media prize giveaways.
