An accomplished listee, Ms. Dimmock celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A literature and language educator with more than four decades of professional experience in the field, Ms. Dimmock celebrates a career that allowed her to positively impact the lives of students with varying learning needs. Now retired, she concluded her career with the Coventry Board of Education in Connecticut, where she was a consultant in language arts from 2006 to 2016. Previously, she demonstrated excellence in numerous other language arts consulting roles in Connecticut for both the Old Saybrook Board of Education and the Chaplin Board of Education. Additionally, Ms. Dimmock was a tutor of language arts for the East Lyme Board of Education. In addition to her work at the primary and secondary levels, she served as an adjunct professor for the University of New Haven.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Dimmock earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the Connecticut College of New London in 1988. Thereafter, she remained at the college, where she achieved a Master of Arts in Teaching in 1992. Committed to lifelong learning, Ms. Dimmock continued in her professional development through post-graduate coursework. Notably, she earned a Sixth Year Certificate in reading and language arts from the University of Connecticut. She has remained at the top of her field through her fellowship with the Connecticut Writing Project, as well as her memberships with the International Reading Association and the Connecticut Reading Association, where she served as a conference presenter in 1995, and a consultant from 1993 to 1999.

When asked of her achievements, Ms. Dimmock attributes her success to her third grade teacher, Ms. Gurrell, who was a mentor throughout her childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Most proud of her final role with the Coventry Board of Education, Ms. Dimmock intends to continue enjoying her retirement while pursuing her hobbies of art, boating, playing the piano and volunteering for animal rescue groups in her community.
