EASTPORT, ME, January 19, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "As a lifelong recording artist and musician, I have invested a lot of faith and hope that the musicoin blockchain platform will finally deliver a means for fair and equitable compensation for musical content creators. I wish all involved the absolute best of luck! A music business revolution that puts artist and listener needs first is sorely and deeply needed.." - Colie Brice

About Colie Brice:

Shortly after helping pick out the songs on Bon Jovi's multiplatinum album Slippery When Wet as a teenager in Sayreville, NJ, I started my own band Gemini and opened up for acts like Skid Row, Glen Burtnik, Prophet and many other national acts. Eventually being the lead singer for the legendary Phantom's Opera which released several albums internationally and had many famous players through it's ranks including Alec & Tico from Bon Jovi, Michael Romeo from Symphony X, Karl Cochran from Ace Frehley and Joe Lynn Turner Bands, Dean Fasano from Message, Prophet etc. I then became an apprentice audio engineer at PolyGram and ended being the chief archivist on many GRAMMY winning projects and sitting on the National Academy of Arts & Sciences Technology and Preservation Committee.

Simultaneousy I was investing in my own recording equipment and developing a catalog as a solo artist.. My solo debut New Age Blues was accepted in 15 categories in the NARAS 1997 GRAMMY nomination entry list.

I have recorded over 40 albums of eccentric, eclectic, experimental music intermingled with classic rock, beats, blues and singer/songwriter tracks in a wide variety of genres, some on major labels with big budgets, others recorded at home DIY style on indie labels. Recording highlights range from three elaborately produced albums with Phantom's Opera to hip indie releases such as a dark, mystical live improvisational recording with Lunar Ensemble featuring Dave Dreiwitz of Ween and Sim Cain of the Henry Rollins Band, etc. I have recorded over 40 albums of eccentric, eclectic, experimental music intermingled with classic rock, beats, blues and singer/songwriter tracks in a wide variety of genres, some on major labels with big budgets, others recorded at home DIY style on indie labels. Recording highlights range from three elaborately produced albums with Phantom's Opera to hip indie releases such as a dark, mystical live improvisational recording with Lunar Ensemble featuring Dave Dreiwitz of Ween and Sim Cain of the Henry Rollins Band, etc. and a seminal Asbury Park underground release by Brian Saint and the Sinners featuring Sarah Tomek (Steven Tyler Band/Loving Mary).

In my youth, I was persistent in pursuing typical paths towards a professional music career, but after tripping out at a Grateful Dead show, I started pursuing a more personal creative direction I call the "Luna Muse" principle and started branding my own kind of music I call New Age Blues. To that end, in 1997 my solo debut New Age Blues was accepted in the 40th Annual Grammy Nomination Entry List in several categories including Top Instrumental for "17 G (Tribute to Jerry)".

I then moved to Hollywood where I directed marketing and business development activities for Classic Records an audiophile label and helped launch a start up in the new media music arena called TheMusic.com - we featured live broadband streaming, original new music from around the world, celebrity interviews and partnered with The Who on selling live CDs recorded on their 2002 world tour.

I then moved on to become the VP of Marketing and Communications for the legendary Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab where I helped ink deals for new audiophile reissue releases on SACD & vinyl, promoted our catalog and the Ultradisc CD-R, a MFLS lined of branded loudspeakers and other products in conjunction with our sister company Music Direct.

In 2003 moved back east to Asbury Park, NJ and launched AERIA Records. I secured major label distribution and developed an eclectic catalog of amazing Jersey Shore based recording artists such as Agency, Brian Amsterdam, Rick Barry, James Dalton, Joe Harvard, Juggling Suns, Last Perfect Thing, Lost In Society, Metamorphisis, St. Christopher & others. The label was the first podsafe label and one of the earliest to develop it's own iphone app. Sadly P2P filesharing was decimating CD sales at that time ad the label had little chance to earn revenue from music sales.

I then moved on to help start up Asbury Media where I have remained as a consultant for a major label for over a decade.

Throughout my career I have been recording my own music and performing live in various projects. I now have an independent catalog of 33 solo albums and over 500 published tracks ranging from full fledged songs to experimental soundscapes in a wide variety of genres and style I have come to loosely call New Age Blues.

In 2014 the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, ME in association with the Smithsonian Institute commissioned me to produce and compose a sound sculpture to accompany their Circle of the Four Directions Exhibit honoring the culturing traditions of the Wabanaki nation.

As a stage musician, I have performed at diverse venues ranging from the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, to the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, California and many points in between. I have shared the bill with an eclectic variety of notable acts such as Dick Dale, Layonne Holmes (Jon Bon Jovi solo band) Juggling Suns, Tony Levin (King Crimson, Peter Gabriel), Dick Manitoba (Dictators), Marshall Tucker, Skid Row, Jill Sobule, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, and most recently I did an opening gig warming up the crowd for a talk by NYC Mayor de Blasio with my son Elijah!

I am a southpaw, Chamelon, Gemini born under a bad sign on June 3, 1968 in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and currently residing in Eastport, Maine where I remain a very active local musician serving a wide variety of projects and community events.
