Norwegian Family Exercise Their Imaginations In America

A Family Trip to Universal Studios Prompts Eye-Opening Possibilities

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 21, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Norwegian doctors discover new frontiers in medicine and family ties in America after visiting Universal Studios. Drs. Naess-Andresen credit a recent family trip to the Universal Studios theme park for awakening their scientific imaginations to a plethora of possible solutions and treatments in their respective fields of medical research.

Dr. Thomas Naess-Andresen, a General Surgeon and Urologist at Drammen Hospital, and Dr. Marthe-Lisa Naess-Andresen, a specialist in family medicine, are conducting research for individual health provisional projects and are connected with the University of California San Diego as visiting scholars.Thomas is researching how to improve the quality of life for prostate cancer patients and learning from the Urology field at UCSD. His trip is sponsored by the Norwegian National Health Service to do personal medical research. Marthe-Lise is working on a Ph.D. on iron deficiency and anemia in pregnant women. The Norwegian Research School in General Practice is sponsoring her stay here so she can build a network with colleagues at UCSD and their Global Health Program. Her goal is to collaborate with researchers from around the world to help reduce the prevalence of iron deficiency and anemia in women of reproductive age.

Along with their three children, Signe, 12; William, 9; and Frida, 6, Drs. Naess-Andresen have embarked upon the American way of life of amusement park visits, warm sunny beachside views from their Solano Beach, San Diego temporary residence, and the friendly greetings and dinner invitations from strangers and Southern California natives alike. A life and culture to which they are not accustomed to living in their Socialist country of Norway. In Norway, the priority is to place their country first in all political and social arenas.

The Naess-Andresens attribute the relaxed medical research because it is important to a better lifestyle for humanity. This family trip to Universal Studios enabled them to engage their pioneer spirit when they first arrived in America from Norway.
