Theodore Jankowski Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

With more than 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Jankowski is an internationally renowned artist. Initially inspired to go into the field when he was sent to a local art school by the nuns at his Catholic school, he studied at the McMurrough School of Art first as a youth from 1956 to 1958, and again from 1974 to 1975 after a period at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1972. He then studied at the Cape School of Art from 1975 to 1976, where he met his wife, Rebecca Buck, who is also an artist and joined him in his endeavors. He went on to join Central Florida University from 1976 to 1977, later returning to the Cape School of Art from 1979 to 1987.

Mr. Jankowski has had his work featured in numerous galleries, museums and shows around the world, including in a one man show at the Eye of Horus Gallery and in group shows at the Provincetown Art Association Museum. His work hangs in the city hall in Bethlehem, PA, the Michael Ingbar Gallery in New York, NY, the Kamehameha Golf Course in Waikapu, HI, and the Cigna Museum and Art Collection in Philadelphia, PA. In addition, he has had pieces shown at Johns Hopkins University, at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, TN, at the Holyoke Museum of Art, and Mount Holyoke College's Art Museum in Massachusetts. He is also featured at the Kokoiki Baptist Church in Hawai'i, the Museum of Art in Downey, CA, the Pratt School of Design and the Vassar College Portrait Collection in New York, the Cape School of Art in Massachusetts, the Arkansas Art Center, and the College Wright Museum of Art in Beloit, WI.

Not only has Mr. Jankowski's work been shown in various locations nationally, but he has had his work displayed in numerous international galleries and museums. His work is in Russia as part of the permanent collection at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg and in the Novosibirsk Picture Gallery. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in Japan has also shown his work, as have the Mishkan Olemanut Museum of Art and Yad Vashem-The Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Art Museum in Israel, McGill University in Canada, the Museum of Independence in Warsaw, Poland, and the National Museum of Bosnia.
