Law Offices of Steven R. Adams Presents Scholarship to Recognize Staff Member's Daughter

    CINCINNATI, OH, April 28, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Law Offices of Steven R. Adams is offering an annual $1,000 college scholarship to a qualified student diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD).

The scholarship is in recognition of a family member of one of the staff at the law firm. Paralegal Jen Blum's daughter, McKenzie, was diagnosed with RSD, which is also known as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), in high school.

Sufferers of RSD experience intense chronic pain that is disproportionate to the injury that causes the pain.

"Support is crucial to anybody affected by RSD," says Jen. "Friends and family provide emotional support. Medical professionals give RSD patients the care they need. And we hope this scholarship helps somebody affected by RSD pay for a college education."

McKenzie graduated with honors from Good Samaritan College of Nursing in 2016, earning her RN degree.

The scholarship is open to students diagnosed with RSD who currently attend a college or university, as well as to high school students who have been accepted to a college or university.
