ALBUQUERQUE, NM, June 01, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Attorney Bert Parnall and the legal team at Parnall Law are pleased to announce the four students selected as winners of the 2018 Distracted Driving Family Plan Scholarships.

Parnall Law's second annual scholarship contest was designed to focus public attention on the dangers of distracted driving and identify proactive steps to prevent accidents. Students who entered the contest were required to submit essays outlining steps that families can take to avoid distracted driving accidents.

Parnall Law chose four students to receive a total of $6,000 in scholarships. They are:

• First Place, $2,500

Javier Pavia, Albuquerque High School

• Second Place, $1,500

Claire O'Malley, University of New Mexico

• Third Place (tie) $1,000 each

Joaquin Madrid Larranaga, Albuquerque High School
David Armendariz, Atrisco Heritage Academy High School

The essay contest was open to all high school and college students and attracted many terrific submissions, making the selection of winners difficult. Click on the link to read the winning essays.
