Unique in her dedication to research-driven creative exploration, Ms. Wright exhibits a special focus in historical Western art and has been celebrated countless times for her contributions to the artistic field. Her background is extensive; she initially worked as a designer, sculptor and glazer for Al Hardy, and went on to work for a variety of companies, displaying flexible talents in budget coordination, writing, photography and art. She completed coursework at both the Los Angeles League of Arts in 1968 and Los Angeles Valley College in 1969,going on to become an artist and instructor at the Sylmar and Van Nuys locations of the Los Angeles Art League. Due to her passion for women in the arts, Ms. Wright co-founded Women Artists of the West in 1971.

Ms. Wright attributes her initial passion to her field to a basic aspect of her nature, and her numerous artistic accomplishments can all be accredited to her passion for nature, humanity and all animals, along with her focused work ethic. Her art, which is often inspired by her exploration of ghost towns and family history with the railroad, has been exhibited in an impressive variety of locations, including the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum, the Lancaster Museum of Art, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum, the Las Vegas Art Museum and the Chas Russell Museum. In 1976, Ms. Wright was the proud recipient of the George Phippen Bicentennial Award, and her skills have earned her over 100 First Place Awards at various exhibitions throughout the United States. She has designed jewelry plus her ceramic tile murals have been installed worldwide.

Demonstrating a deep passion for her creative field, Ms. Wright has been featured in numerous books and publications of Western art, and has been a featured artist for The Danbury Mint and Leanin' Tree Graphics. Her work has appeared in television and film. She has also contributed articles to Southwest Art Magazine, American Artist, Contemporary Artist and Western Art Magazine. Throughout her lengthy, ongoing career, she has served various organizations, including Oil Painters of America, Wildlife Waystation, Inc., International Art and Culture Association and Women Artists of the West, of which she was a founding member. Ms. Wright remains on the Board of Directors of Women Artists in the West, a position she has held since 1978.

Ms. Wright has been honored in a variety of publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women. Boasting a body of work that reflects her own personal humor and her deep respect for nature's beauty, she has been a representative for the State of California for the Residential Arts Program in Washington D.C. Looking towards the future, Ms. Wright hopes to continue to contribute to the art world for a long time to come.
