Investing in the Future: Agriterra is Building a Public School in Paraguay

Free access to education and the public soup kitchen will improve educational provision for the rural population.

ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY, September 26, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It is not only the happy investors who benefit from the cooperation and experience of the Agri Terra Group. The neighboring municipalities around Agriterra plantations can also look forward to continued growth. With the planned school in rural Nueva Italia, the German company strengthens the close connection to its employees and their families. In addition to free access to education, the school must receive a public soup kitchen that serves children and their parents a free lunch every day.

The education system in rural areas, according to many experiences, are underdeveloped.

Outside the big cities, people in Paraguay are still disadvantaged by lack of education. Since 2016 the Agri Terra Group has been supporting a school in the community of La Colmena, where many large orange plantations are being exploited. In light of the excellent development of the company, as founder and CEO Carsten Pfau explains, the strengthening of social involvement has become a growing concern. "Families and their children with a freely accessible school will soon be able to achieve a significantly better standard of living, this fills us with great pride. Our experience has taught us how important education is for the sustainable development of the region," explains Pfau.

Social responsibility as a win-win situation for Agri Terra

In order to guarantee the long-term success of the Agriterra Group in the future, the new school must also increase the attractiveness of the village of Nueva Italia. The company considers an increased influx and good training of its employees as the cornerstone for the continued growth of the region. The Agri Terra Group, therefore, intends to set up an additional free vocational training program after the regular school operation. Such a comprehensive and forward-looking view of important success variables is not only positively highlighted in many evaluations by economic experts, but has already inspired many other companies in similar ways.
