Mr. Schrager is an experienced corporate executive who has been serving as a vice president for Bank of America since 2016. A former president of Xbridge Systems between 2012 and 2014, an organization that provides operating system mainframe data loss prevention products and services, he was also the chief security architect for Vanguard Integrity Professionals between 2007 and 2011, another security company that provides enterprise security software solutions. Mr. Schrager previously served in numerous capacities for JME Software LLC, Neon Systems, Inc., EKC, Inc., Regency Development Ltd., SKK, Inc., and the University of Illinois dating back nearly 50 years to 1969.
During his profession, Mr. Schrager served on the advisory board for the Center for Information Privacy and the Law at John Marshall Law School in Chicago for 10 years beginning in 1985. He is currently active as a member of the Mainframe Hall of Fame, an organization dedicated to honoring those who have been instrumental in the unprecedented success of the IBM mainframe.
Mr. Schrager was responsible for developing ACF2 in 1978. It was the first successful data security system for IBM mainframe computer system and it is still being used by many government and large corporations such as the Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, MI5 and the Federal Reserve System. The system is now owned by CA Technologies.
Honored for his work, Mr. Schrager has been cited in the 22nd edition of Who's Who in the Midwest. He has notably held a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of Illinois since 1968 and a Master of Science in applied mathematics from Northwestern University since 1972. Born in Chicago, IL, Mr. Schrager later married his wife Cheryl Bowler Schrager. He has three children. In his free time, he enjoys skiing and practicing photography.
