Meyer Sapoff Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    HIGHLAND BEACH, FL, January 25, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Meyer Sapoff with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Sapoff celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Mr. Sapoff enjoyed a very successful career in the electronics industry for many years. Retired since 1996, he most recently worked for Thermometrics, Inc., in Edison, NJ, during which time he served as president of the organization between 1970 and 1986, as well as chairman of the board of directors and senior staff consultant. He also ran his own consulting business for a time as the president of MS Consultant in Princeton, NJ, from 1993 to 1996. In previous years, Mr. Sapoff held various upper level positions with Keystone Carbon Company in Pennsylvania from 1969 to 1970 and Victory Engineering Corporation in New Jersey from 1953 to 1969. He was also a senior grade research fellow at Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, now known as the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, from 1952 to 1953 and a research engineer with Franklin Institute Laboratories in Philadelphia, PA, from 1950 to 1952.

A consultant in the field for the U.S. delegate to technology committee, Mr. Sapoff also consulted for the 65th International Electrotechnology Commission. He is also a member who served as first vice chairman of the E20 committee temperature measurement for ASTM International from 2000 to 2005. The organization notably honored him for his dedication with an Award of Merit in 1998. Furthermore, Mr. Sapoff is a longtime member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Ceramic Society and the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn Alumni Association, as well as several honor societies.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Sapoff has conducted an extensive amount of research, resulting in several patents in his field. He has also contributed multiple articles to various scholarly journals.

Heavily involved in his local community, Mr. Sapoff recently served on the board of directors for the United Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks for 10 years beginning in 1998 and was treasurer between 2001 and 2003. He was on the board of directors and served as vice president of finance for the Jewish Center in Princeton, was trustee of the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ, and was active with both the Citizens League of West Orange and the West Orange Parent Teacher Organization.

Honored with an Industrial Research IR-100 Award in 1974, it was the highest achievement at that time during Mr. Sapoff's career. He has notably been included in more than 70 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in the World. Mr. Sapoff first studied at Mohawk College before earning a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, magna cum laude, from the New York University Tandon School of Engineering in 1950. He then completed postgraduate work at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Pennsylvania between 1951 and 1953 while earning a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Drexel University in 1952.

Married to his lovely wife Lynn Joy Sapoff, Mr. Sapoff has four wonderful children and five beautiful grandchildren. Mrs. Sapoff received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Logic from the University of Michigan and her Master of Arts degree in Teaching Mathematics and Accounting from the College of New Jersey.
