WILMINGTON, NC, March 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Award winning author Donna Fletcher Crow has announced that she will serve as a panelist at Mystery Fest 2019 on Saturday, March 9, 2019. The event will take place at Portsmouth Central Library, Guildhall Walk in Portsmouth, UK.

Portsmouth Bookfest presents a series of literary events for readers and writers, adults and children, covering most genres. The long-running annual event is organized in part by the University of Portsmouth and local area writers and historians. Notable authors associated with Portsmouth include Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and H.G. Wells. This year's event will feature a talk by former MP and bestselling author Alan Johnson. Guest of honor, Simon Brett, will be the luncheon speaker.

Mystery Fest, started in 2018 as part of the Portsmouth Book Festival, is a collaboration between Portsmouth Library Service and Mystery People. This year there will be several panels and talks. The panel on which Crow will serve, aptly named 'In The Reviewers' Hot Seat', will be moderated by two Mystery People reviewers and academics - Dr Jennifer Palmer and Dot Marshall-Gent. Other panel members include Leigh Russell, Sally Spedding, Diana Bretherick and Carol Westron.

Crow says, "I am very excited for this opportunity to connect in person with my many readers in England. I'm especially delighted to meet in person with Lizzie Hayes and other members of the wonderful Mystery People organization which does so much to support excellence in crime and mystery writing.

"I'm also looking forward to exploring the south coast of England. It was a favourite holiday place for Jane Austen and the setting for her final, unfinished book 'Sanditon' which will be the subject of my next Elizabeth and Richard Literary Suspense."

Donna Fletcher Crow is the author of 45 books, mostly novels of British history. The award-winning 'Glastonbury' is her best-known work, which received the prestigious First Place, Historical Novel, award from the National Federation of Press Women. One Amazon reader said, "WHAT a work! Every reader can be enveloped in the sheer scope and quality, every historian be constantly nodding at the precise detail and accuracy, and every Christian can rejoice in the fullness of scripture. For me it is simply beyond descriptive praise. I would urge all who value truth to treat themselves to a feast."
