This year expects 4,000 participants and over 2,000 spectators and volunteers from all over Southern California. Participants will run and walk to celebrate 21 years of life-saving research dollars raised in honor of pediatric cancer warriors, patients, and survivors everywhere.

Race day kicks off with the Reaching for the Cure Half Marathon at 7:00 a.m., followed by the Orange Aluminum 5K Run at 7:15 a.m., the Seyfarth Shaw 10K Run at 7:45 a.m., the Cox Castle & Nicholson 5K Walk at 9:30 a.m., and ending with the PCRF 1K Kids Fun Run at 11:00 a.m. Runners will enjoy beautiful course layout with scenic views along Orange County trails.

Participants have the option to register on a team with family, friends, and loved ones where together they collect pledges and raise money for pediatric cancer research. Teams and individuals become eligible for prizes as their fundraising. Each participant will receive a goodie bag, finishers medal and a t-shirt. Half Marathon participants will receive a special edition running hat as part of their registration.

"The overall feel of the event was heartwarming and joyful. Every person present had a smile on their face," said a participant who attended last year for the first time.

Another 5K Walk participant commented, "I love the spirit, energy, and sense of community. I have had family members affected by cancer and it has made the event itself all the more powerful."

This wonderful community event will have all of the fun that runners have come to know and love. At the end of the race, there is a Finish Line Festival that features an awards ceremony, over 60 health and wellness exhibitors; food trucks and musical entertainment; Gold Ribbon Reception Area with beer garden; PCRF's famous Kids Zone with rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, obstacle courses, face painting and more – free for the whole family.

This event raises awareness and funds to cure pediatric cancer. Fundraising efforts will support fourteen of PCRF's highly esteemed group of researcher institutions funded by the organization. Local Southern California institutions to benefit from this effort include Children's Hospital Los Angeles, UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital and City of Hope. Participants can register online or on race day. All donations, online and in-person, go directly towards pediatric cancer research.
