'ATTACHMENTS,' A New Romantic Comedy Starring Katharine Ross, Will Have its World Premiere at The 52nd Annual Worldfest-Houston on April 6th

Control. Alt. Cute-meet. One millennial I.T. nerd plus one computer-illiterate senior citizen equals one unlikely attachment since everyone deserves a second byte at love.

Academy Award nominated actress, Katharine Ross, (The Graduate) stars in the indy romantic comedy, "ATTACHMENTS" having its world premiere at the Worldfest-Houston

HOUSTON, TX, March 26, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Attachments," a full-length feature film starring Academy Award nominated actress, Katharine Ross, (The Graduate, Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid) and co-starring Corey Eid (Raising Hope, CSI Miami), is set for its world premiere at the 52nd Annual WorldFest-Houston International Independent Film Festival at the Cinemark Theatre Memorial City on April 6 at 9 p.m. Written and directed by Richard Krevolin and co-written by the recently-deceased Academy Award nominated writer, Joseph Bologna, the film features Ross as Eileen Roth, a 70+ year-old widow who needs to learn how to use a computer in order to communicate with her beloved granddaughter who is in China on a business trip. As a result, she ends up hiring an IT tech who happens to be very young and very socially awkward. Their relationship develops over the course of the film, becoming the beating heart of this love story about two alienated and lonely people who change each other's lives despite a fifty-year age difference. This is Katharine Ross' first starring role in a film in many years and the first comedic role of her career.

The writer/director of the film, author, playwright, and documentarian Richard Krevolin, was inspired to write the script after giving his 70+ year-old mother a laptop for her birthday. It was a gift that kept giving, as every day, he would get a phone call from her describing her computer problems. Her messages were funny. As a result, he knew there was the potential there for a human comedy that could resonate with both young, tech-savvy millennials and luddite senior citizens who share a common bond as lonely outsiders longing for authentic connection in a socially isolating world. Krevolin then approached his writing partner — comedy legend and actor, Joseph Bologna — who loved the idea. Together, they spent years crafting and fine-tuning the story until they had the final script for this indy feature film. Next, Krevolin teamed with the talented producer Carrie Lynn Certa who helped him put the film together and shoot it.
