Tech Sassy Girlz (TSG) was founded in 2012 to empower underrepresented middle and high school girls to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields through college preparation, career readiness, mentoring and entrepreneurship. Since its inception, the program has impacted more than 800 girls, contributed more than 1,000 volunteer hours and awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships. By exposing girls to examples of women who have succeeded in STEM, TSG hopes to make it easier for girls to envision themselves following a similar path to success and that STEM careers are within reach.
