Concurrency, Inc. Recognized as #7 Among Midsized Business in Crain's Chicago Business' 2019 "Best Places to Work"

Second straight year honored by Chicago top-tech-talent employees

We take great pride in our employees and the value they bring to our company, and we are proud to be recognized for a work environment that supports professional growth, innovation and collaboration.

BROOKFIELD, WI, April 18, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Concurrency, Inc., a Microsoft Partner of the Year-winning professional services firm, has been named #7 among midsized Chicago businesses by Crain's Chicago Business. The magazine published today the winners in its 2019 Best Places to Work awards, commending recipients for "overwhelmingly positive reviews from their employees."

"Since 2008, Crain's has highlighted the local companies rated highest by their employees," wrote Crain's staff in announcing the top 100. "In a wide-ranging questionnaire, we ask about everything from workplace comforts to benefits and culture."

Crain's Chicago Business convened an awards luncheon last Thursday at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago. Attendees from Concurrency included Kate Weiland, Chief People Officer, Paul Brunner, Chicago Regional Sales Manager, and eight additional Concurrency associates.

"We take great pride in our employees and the value they bring to our company, and we are proud to be recognized for a work environment that supports professional growth, innovation and collaboration," said Kate Weiland.

Weiland said, "While benefits and perks are important, the foundation for why Concurrency is a great place to work lies in our culture of excellence and knowledge sharing. All too often in the information technology industry, career progress is limited because people get siloed working on aging technologies. In our culture, everyone stays at the cutting edge."

As Chief People Officer, Weiland follows an "all about the people" philosophy. She said, "That's what drives Concurrency's success—both through recruiting hard-to-find top talent and through nurturing employees so they continue to grow and stay with our firm."

Specific programs supporting Concurrency's culture include the award-winning Concurrency University—a multi-pronged, integrated effort that reaches students in high school and college and help them launch their professional services careers. Others include our extensive new-employee onboarding program; various training and development programs; a wellness program; and community outreach.
