NEW YORK, NY, May 18, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Coinciding with their US debut at the Couture show in Las Vegas, prominent Indian diamond jewelry firm, Harakh, has recruited industry veteran, Peter Wish to expand its global footprint in the North American market.
Harakh Mehta, founder of his eponymous label, a fourth-generation diamantaire, believes in the beauty of a piece of jewelry that goes beyond its aesthetics and craftsmanship. "Our collections are dedicated to the spirituality of India, and inspired by various motifs from my childhood days, including the elephant, a symbol of wisdom; the peacock, the national bird of India; the frangipani flower, a symbol of immortality; and the traditional haveli home," he explains.
Harakh, which means "joyous" in Gujarati, Mehta's native language, was founded in 2016, in Mumbai. It was introduced to the British market in 2017 and makes its US debut at the Couture show in Las Vegas.
"Our search for a U.S.-based representative honoring Harakh's heritage and brand values has culminated in Peter Wish. His extensive expertise in diamonds, precious gems, and metal is a natural fit to our company," Mehta added.
"We know jewelry sells best when it has a story," Peter Wish states. "When that story is based on documented tenets of spirituality, and that mindset is applied in its creation, that symbolism is as remarkable as the design itself," Wish explained. He welcomes conversations by appointment while at Couture this June. Harakh will display at booth number 207, May 30th to June 3rd in Las Vegas.
Each piece of Harakh jewelry is accompanied by a reflection card that carries a message about what inspired it and how it was created, personally written by Harakh Mehta. "We try to see the soul of the design along with the processes involved in it," he says. "We connect it to deeper levels and search for meaningful connection that promotes well-being."
All Harakh jewelry is crafted from platinum or 18k gold and set with diamonds of D, E or F color and VS/VVS and IF (internally flawless) clarity.
