CHARLOTTE, NC, May 29, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Charles Ray MacDonald, DMin, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. MacDonald celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. MacDonald retired from a wonderful career in ministry in 1993 after serving several different communities across Virginia, Delaware and Michigan. Beginning as a pastor for Fairfield and McCutchen Presbyterian Churches in Fairfield, VA, in 1958, he since pastored two other churches, served as a stated clerk and business manager for the Presbytery of Detroit, and most recently served as an associate pastor at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Prior to his religious work, Dr. MacDonald was in construction in North Carolina as an estimator and chief estimator for two different companies.
During his career, Dr. MacDonald was a stated clerk for the Lexington Presbytery in Staunton, VA, and New Castle Presbytery in Wilmington, DE. He served his local community as the vice president of the Limen House for recovering alcoholics in Wilmington and as the president of the Citizens Housing Alliance of Delaware in Wilmington.
One of Dr. MacDonald's greatest experiences was during his time spent at the Caldwell Memorial Church. Instrumental in turning the church around, it was a great success for the parish as well as for him personally. Dr. MacDonald has notably been included in the fourth edition of Who's Who in Religion and the 23rd edition of Who's Who in the Midwest. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Union Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Seminary. He was ordained to ministry by the Presbyterian Church in 1958.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, Dr. MacDonald attended a prep school as a youth. Many years later, while working in construction, he decided to pursue a religion with a much deeper meaning. Entering the ministry, it was the best decision he had ever made. He now lives in The Cypress of Charlotte Condominium and has chaired its Board of Directors.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Charles Ray MacDonald, DMin, has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
