Joan A. Ramaika Celebrates More than 25 Years of Practiced Experience in Technical Writing

Ms. Ramaika recently earned the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award



    STUARTS DRAFT, VA, May 29, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joan A. Ramaika has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Backed by many decades of professional excellence in technical writing, Ms. Ramaika most recently served as a documentation specialist for Centocor and Johnson & Johnson in Horsham, PA, in 2005. At the inception of her career, she joined the Brandywine Conservancy as an administrative assistant in 1976, holding the role for four years. Over the course of her career, she gained valuable experience in editing, system analysis and technical writing through a number of companies, including Scott Paper Company, McGraw Hill Publishing, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Bell Atlantic Graphics, Agere Systems and IKON Office Solutions. In addition, she served as a coordinator of the Y2K Project with Simon & Schuster, system analyst with the Philadelphia Board of Education, and technical writer with Telespectrum, among other prestigious roles.

Alongside her primary endeavors, Ms. Ramaika served as a developmental editor for Boyd & Fraser in Boston, MA, as well as an implementer and supervisor for Temple University's School of Dentistry. In the mid-1990s, she also served as a proprietor for Baxter Enterprises and Ray F. Weston, Inc. Civically involved as well, she was a volunteer for the Military Museum of Naples in Florida from 2013 to 2017.

An expert in her field, Ms. Ramaika holds an Associate of Arts from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in communications from West Chester University. Additionally, she obtained a certificate in management from Widener University. In an effort to remain abreast of changes in the field, she maintained affiliation with the Delaware Blue Hen Council, where she served as director from 1996 to 1999, and the American Association of University Women, where she sat on the public policy committee from 1991 to 1999. In addition, she was a member of the United States Power Squadron.

In light of her professional accomplishments, Ms. Ramaika earned the Chapel of Four Chaplains Award in 1982 in addition to the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and features in Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women. Looking ahead, Ms. Ramaika intends to experience the continued growth and success of her career.
