SEATTLE, WA, June 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Guitarist, Singer and Songwriter Jim Allchin had more than a great concept when he travelled to Nashville for the pre-production on his fourth solo LP on the Artisanship Music label.

Allchin also had a secret weapon in the works - his handpicked project team, including Tom Hambridge, a multi-Grammy-winning Producer and co-writer, and veteran studio and touring professionals including pianist Kevin McKendree, guitarist Kenny Greenberg and bassist Glenn Worf (among others) to collaborate and perform on the LP's 14 tracks, all of which either written or co-written by Allchin. To top it off, the team recruited special guests in Grammy winner Bobby Rush (Two Bad Dreams) and Grammy nominee and Blues Music Award winner Mike Zito on the slammin' blues-rock track "Enough is Enough."

According to the venerable Roots Music Report, the largest and most recognized independent music chart in the world that compiles radio airplay data from roots music stations from around the globe, Prime Blues has charted for the past 33 weeks and has documented the following success levels. For their Blues Charts: the LP ranked in the Top 10 for 17 weeks and peaked at #1 for 2 weeks, and for the Contemporary Blues Charts, the LP ranked 17 weeks also in the Top 10, and topped the charts for 12 weeks at #1.

In addition, "Two Bad Dreams" was awarded Second Place for best blues song by The International Songwriting Competition, the most prestigious panel of judges of all the songwriting and music contests in the world with over 19,000 submissions overall.
