Robinson Co. as a management trainee before pursuing speech pathology and gaining valuable expertise with the Riverview Hearing, Speech and Language Centers. Over the years, Ms. Young also produced television shows on communications disorders for Long Beach Cable TV and coordinated public service announcements and interviews for Disabilities Awareness Week on ABC, which was one of the highlights of her career.

A member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Ms. Young holds an Associate of Arts from Palomar College in San Marcos, California, a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Chico, and a Master of Arts from California State University Long Beach. Utilizing her considerable knowledge, she invented a game called "Match This!" in 1995 and authored the children's book "Bird Boy" in 2006. For her professional accomplishments, she was honored with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in American Women. Looking ahead, Ms. Young intends to travel more. Though she has considered retiring, she loves what she does and wants to continue for as long as she can.
