For Michelle Marie Watts, the highlight of career is being able to utilize her scientific skills to publish textbooks for middle school students.

GAHANNA, OH, June 14, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Michelle Marie Watts with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Watts celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Watts celebrates 45 years in her career as a chemist and technical writer, with her most recent appointment at JP Morgan Chase & Co., a company she has been aligned with since 2014. Prior to this engagement, she was associated with McGraw-Hill Education as a science editor from 2003 and 2013 and a chemist with Sherex Chemical Co., Inc., in Dublin, Ohio, between 1980 and 2003. She began her career as a chemist with Ashland Chemical Co. in Dublin, Ohio, in 1974, holding the role for six years.

Prior to the inception of her career, Ms. Watts pursued formal education at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1974. Six years later, she graduated from Xavier University in Ohio with a Master of Business Administration in marketing in 1980.

A holder of several domestic and international patents, Ms. Watts is recognized as a respected voice in the industry. She has authored a number of chemistry-related publications, including "Use of Specialty Nitrogen Containing Surfactants in Laundry Detergents" and "Proceedings of the World Conference on Lauric Oils." An expert in the field, she has additionally provided her knowledge to several other articles published in professional journals.

To remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Watts is a member of the American Chemical Society. Although her career started in chemistry, she was proud to have been able to reinvent herself and determine that she has a knack for writing and editing as much as she did science.
